Stadium food is an important part of the NFL experience. The right food assortment can be the perfect complement, or distraction, from your team’s performance on the field. 

But, not all stadium food is made the same.

These stadium foods go above and beyond your run-of-the-mill burger and fries. And, while your team might not win every Sunday (Monday or Thursday), rest assured, these meals will certainly give you something to cheer for.

5) Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers

Known for its blue-collar attitude, Pittsburgh is home to many passionate football fans and even more killer sandwiches. If you find yourself at Heinz Field, be sure to try the Primanti Brothers “Pittsburger.” Topped with fries and coleslaw, this behemoth of a sandwich will leave you full for a week.

If sandwiches aren’t your speed, be sure to try either the pierogi or kielbasa – a byproduct of Pittsburgh’s thriving Polish community.

4) Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers

Silicon Valley may be nearly an hour away, but there’s plenty of innovation happening with food at Levi’s Stadium. It’s not enough for the 49ers to serve conventional hot dogs. In a stroke of ingenuity, they pile bacon, pork chicharrons and guacamole onto their “double barrel” hot dogs. The result is a refreshing but savory twist on an American classic.

The 49ers proximity to the Pacific coast also provides a menu ripe with an assortment of fresh crab-based dishes. This is one case where stadium seafood is definitely worth trying.

3) Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons

In 2017, the Atlanta Falcons made headlines by introducing their “fan first” menu. The menu was praised for its cheap, fan-friendly options. But don’t be fooled by the price tags, there are still plenty of delicacies from which to choose, like the burnt end nachos.

Topped with crispy flavorful pork bits, jalapenos, and a special cream sauce, and with arguably the most generous prices in the NFL, this meal will leave your stomach and wallet satisfied.

2) Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City can get cold late in the season, but Arrowhead Stadium has found a solution.
The Kingdom Inferno Chicken Sandwich brings the heat with breaded chicken tenders, Carolina Reaper pepper mayo, pepper jack cheese, sliced Jalapenos, and buffalo sauce on a brioche bun.

If you prefer something on the milder side, Kansas City’s burnt ends mac and cheese features savory chunks of meat and crispy fried onions, layered on top of cheesy macaroni. There’s nothing flashy here, just really good food.

1) State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals

Unlike their football team, Arizona’s stadium menu has a lot to be proud of. What do you get when you add five, one-third pound burger patties, five all-beef hot dogs, five bratwursts, 20 slices of American cheese, eight slices of bacon, eight chicken tenders, 12 ounces of fries, lettuce and pickles? A $75 price tag and one giant “Gridiron Burger.”

Weighing in at seven pounds, this monster of a meal could feed a family of five. It’s no easy task, but if you can finish this one by yourself, you’ll be rewarded with a Cardinals jersey and a headshot on the stadium scoreboard.

If you’re not up for the gridiron burger challenge, the stadium also serves some truly decadent nachos. These “pizza box” nachos feature slow roasted steak and chicken toppings with a local chili blend that you can only find in the American southwest.
